The Twits

by Roald Dahl
5.8/6

This is a book about one married couple doing terrible (but hilariously funny) things to each other. For example, one day, Mrs Twit, who had a grosteque face, thought of a terrible idea one day. She decided to put worms in Mr. Twit's spaghetti. Angry at what Mrs. Twit had done, Mr. Twit got about fifty balloons and tied each of them to Mrs. Twit's limbs. So she flew away, but she safely came back home again, and Mrs. Twit is working very hard to get back at Mr. Twit for it! If you want to read more of these awful couple, buy it and read it!
I think this book is a really good book because usually in books, they love each other. But in this book, I cannot find single love in it. I also like it because the couple did such horrible and funny things to each other that I never dreamed or thought of before.

Dish - Stirring it up

by Diane Muldrow
6/6
This book's main characters are Amanda and Molly, who are twins. One day, being sick of takeaway food because of her busy mom, they decided to make dinner for themselves. They were very nervous, first because although they cooked simple things like cookies, they never cooked dinner, and, second, because they had to keep it secret from their mom and dad because they planned to surprise them. Starting from that, they go to the cooking club recommended by her mom, and they cook and cook and cook. Everything seemed all right until they realized that Shawn, their enemy, was attending to the cooking lesson... read it to find out what happens next!
This book is really great, first because I was always interested in twins and wanted to read about them and second because I was interested in cooking nowadays. Plus, there's cooking recipes you can make in the back of the book! I recommend this book to anyone who really likes cooking.

The Trumpet of the Swan

by E.B. White
6/6

This is a story about a boy called Sam, and a Trumpeter Swan called Louis. Louis is not a normal Trumpeter Swan. He has a lot of talent, and also, he can't speak. He has no voice. Naturally, he cannot express his feelings. Then, later, because he fell in desperate love, he had to desperately express his feelings. So, with Sam, he learned how to play the trumpet. Then, he met Serena, his love, and, through the trumpet, finally Louis married Serena.
I think this book is great because this book is about animals (I love aninals) and it's about a swan that can't speak. And it's wonderful that a trumpeter swan plays trumpet. This will go into my list of favorite books.

Freak the Mighty

by Rodman Philbrick

5-6/6

This story is about two boys, who have both lost one of their parents. The two boys first met in kindergarten and met again 13 years later. They formed a great friendship called, 'Freak the Mighty'. The big one, Max, carries the small one, Freak, on his shoulders, slaying dragons, turning houses into castles and swimming pools into moats. But they have to face a terrible tragedy after one year of close friendship. Want to know what that terrible tragedy is? Read it for yourself!!
I think this book is great because it has lots of voice in it. I also thinks it's very funny the way Freak talks in his wierd-sort-of way. Sometimes, it's a little scary because of his father breaking out of prison. The plot's really colorful.
